1930s Rose Valois Straw Fascinator Vintage Hat

A wonderful and iconic chapeau from the millinary house of Rose Valois. Founded by 3 women, Madame Fernand Cleuet, Vera Leigh and an unidentified 3rd woman. Vera Leigh was a British spy who fought with the French Resistance and was executed horrifically by the Gestapo in 1944. This hat is finely woven straw with a silk lining and an elastic strap. Worn to the side or front it has a small open area in the center top which may have held a bow or faux flowers. We will leave it to you to find something worthy and delightful to set it off.
