Mid 1960s Norman Norell Red Wool Two-piece Suit. Double-breasted Jacket with 3/4 length sleeves, narrow roll collar, polished brass buttons. Lined in luxurious red silk. The fitted narrow pencil skirt has two hidden inseam pockets on the hips and two! zippers on the back of the skirt which ensure a glove-like fit, A beautiful MOD example of Norell's amazing technical virtuosity - exceptionally made is an understatement. This 60+ year old piece of art is in exceptional condition apart from a tiny moth nip which will need attention - on the side - midway down the jacket.
