Vintage 1920s Egyptian Bedouin Djubbeh

Wonderful Egyptian cotton striped traditional men's robe or coat. The striped fabric has an amazing hand feel. it is truly like silk. The inner edge is trimed in linen with a lining of coarser cotton. This is a souvenire brought back from a trip to Egypt between the wars. The wrap front ties in two places with black cord. There are pockets on the side. The sleeves are designed with a slit at the wrist with black cord trim. Condition is execelent with a few scattered age stains and a small tear near the pocket. Size is medium for a man who has a chest of 38" to 42"
