Late 60s Pierre Cardin Men's Suit

Exquisite bespoke suit by Pierre Cardin from approx. 1968. Boldly patterned with a fine meander and tweedy texture. Exaggerated wide lapels influenced by the trend for vintage clothing, specifically Thirties & Forties suits in London and Paris at the time. There are also details unique to this suit like the staggered and odd placement of belt loops. Perfectly tailored with a strong attention for detail. For instance, to keep the trouser lines straight and clean the hem is strongly angled to avoid too intense a break in the front. A suit like this says a lot about the wearer and his individuality and desire to stay ahead of the game.
