21 Club Vintage Silk Scarf

New York City's venerable 21 Club released a different design every year of these luxurious silk scarves with hand rolled edges. The iconic iron gate of the club is depicted in the center with ribbons flowing out to jockeys. A feature of the club since its beginning in the 1920s. Iron jockey sculptures from well known stables adorned the fascade as well. This scarf is a chiffon weight crepe. The design includes sponged areas. This scarf likely dates from the 1950s to early 1960s. It is in excellent condition. No flaws to note. 31" Square.
