Thirties Dress

1930s Couture Bias Cut Evening Gown. Midnight black silk satin. Gorgeously constructed with bold trumpet skirt. The lower 20" of the skirt is flowy and flared near circle skirt. Beautiful couture tailoring. We believe this is a Jacques Griffe dress because the previous owner had an identical dress in different material with a Jacques Griffe label. Very good vintage condition (both underarms have had stress tears that have been well repaired with black backing as have some small tears along the hem where the dress appears to have been stepped on by a stiletto heel).
